Privacy & Cookies Policy

Version 1.1 · 25 July 2026 · WM3 Digital

This policy describes, in plain terms, what data this site processes, why, with whom, and for how long. It covers the public pages of the Code Reality book (landing page, public sample, and the purchase and delivery pages) operated by WM3 Digital.

Cookies and similar technologies

This site sets no first-party cookies and uses no analytics cookies, marketing pixels, behavioural advertising, or cross-site tracking. The only technologies in use are those strictly necessary for operation, security, checkout and delivery of the digital product, plus the aggregate statistical measurement described below.

We store a single preference in your browser — your choice about statistical analysis — using localStorage. That storage is strictly necessary: it exists only to remember your decision, and remembering it is what makes a refusal effective. It holds no identifier and is never sent to a third party.

Statistical analysis (Vercel Web Analytics)

On the public marketing pages — the home page and the public sample, in Portuguese and English — we use Vercel Web Analytics for statistical purposes only: to understand how many people visit, which pages are read, which campaign they came from, and how the pages perform.

Processed data: the address of the page visited, the referring page, filtered campaign parameters, approximate location (country, region or city), browser, operating system and device type.

The tool sets no cookies. Statistical identification uses a hashed value that changes daily, so the same person cannot be followed across different days, across sites, or across applications. There is no identification by name, no profiling, no behavioural advertising, and no link between this aggregate data and the details of anyone who buys the book.

Where it is not used: this measurement does not exist on this policy page, nor on any purchase, confirmation, package, access or recovery page, nor on any address carrying access keys.

How to object

You can object immediately and free of charge. On a first visit a discreet notice offers two equally prominent options: Continue with anonymous analysis or Do not participate. Choosing "Do not participate" stops the tool from loading from that moment on, across the whole site and on later visits in the same browser.

You can change your choice at any time through the Privacy preferences link in the footer of the public pages. Refusing statistical analysis does not change the site, the sample, the checkout or the purchase.

Campaign attribution

A shared address may carry a campaign parameter, for example ?ref=linkedin. Only values from a closed, predefined list are accepted; any other value is discarded and never transmitted. Only one aggregate fact is recorded — that a visit came from that campaign. No group name, phone number, email address, purchase identifier, or any link between a visit and an individual buyer is ever collected.

Typography (Google Fonts)

The pages load the Newsreader and IBM Plex Mono typefaces from the Google Fonts service (fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com). When the page loads, your IP address is technically transmitted to Google in order to serve the font files. This service sets no cookies on this site. Details are available in Google's privacy notice.

Data processed at purchase

Service providers (processors)

Each provider processes data under its own terms and only to the extent required by the contracted service.

Personalised licence

The delivered files (PDF and EPUB) are personalised: they carry the licensed reader's name, the licence identifier, and a watermark. This personalisation identifies the licensed copy and is part of the purchased product.

Access recovery

A buyer can request a new access link using the email address from the purchase. Requests are rate-limited by anti-abuse measures and recorded in the security logs.

Retention

Licence records and personalised files are kept while the licence is active, to allow access redelivery and edition corrections. Security and audit logs are kept for as long as needed to protect the operation. Data that is no longer necessary is removed.

Your rights

Under the Brazilian General Data Protection Law (LGPD) — and equivalent rights where applicable law grants them — you may request confirmation of processing, access, correction, anonymisation, deletion of unnecessary data, portability, and information about sharing. Deleting data tied to a licence may result in losing the corresponding redelivery access.
